Mt. Rainier – Washington

Sorry for the delay in posting – we’ve been really busy the last few weeks. a

Day one in Kent, we arrived late afternoon and opted on a late lunch/early dinner at a local boil seafood restaurant.  Not much in Kent so some relaxation was on the schedule.

The next day we visited Mt. Rainier National Park.  We entered the park at the Nisqually Historic District Entrance(south western side) of the park.  Drove towards the top of the mountain on many winding roads with a few scenic stops along the way.  Our turn-a-round point was the Paradise area to make our way back down to Nisqually.  We have visited and seen many mountain areas on our journey however everyone is different in their own way.  This mountain range was very green with mainly Douglas fir trees.  Some trees are very large and are known to be over 1000 years old.  The colors were beautiful and the pictures do not do them justice.
